Members of ... moreThe Virginia Wesleyan Chorale is a small, auditioned group at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Virginia. The Choir is composed of 16-20 singers from all majors who perform a variety of music, from classical, to folk, to contemporary jazz. Members of The Wesleyan Chorale also perform in The Wesleyan Singers, an open-enrollment ensemble that performs a variety of music while developing vocal technique and musicianship skills.

Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans The Renaissance to The present day and has included The Scottish premieres of works by James Whitbourn, Hans Gál, Jan Dismas Zelenka, Richard Bush and Judith Bingham.
The Choir performs regularly in Glasgow and central Scotland, and has toured to France, Holland and Sweden, where it has formed links with oTher Choirs.
Recent BBC radio engagements have included William Walton’s Henry V Suite with The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Sunday Worship live and Bryan Burnett’s ‘Get it On’ show live on BBC Radio Scotland. The Choir features regularly in Raymond Gubbay’s Christmas Festival in The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. less
