Based in Winchester, the Chorus currently has about 40 members of all ages who come from across Southern Hampshire. We continue to meet regularly via Zoom while we're unable to gather face to face. The Chorus has competed locally, nationally and on occasion internationally, as well as entertaining local audiences at public and private events. In 2003, Matjaž Šček, the conductor of the group, was replaced by Andreja Martinjak, who p...  moreLjubljanski madrigalisti mixed Chamber choir Ljubljanski madrigalisti mixed Chamber choir is a renowned and successful Slovenian vocal ensemble, founded in 1991. In 2003, Matjaž Šček, the conductor of the group, was replaced by Andreja Martinjak, who performed regularly with the choir and took part in national and international choir competitions where the choir as well as the conductor were winning numerous prizes and awards. The greatest achievements of the choir include a gold plaque, awarded in the 20th Slovenian national choir competition, Naša pesem (Our song) 2007 and the second place in the 9th international choir competition in Maribor 2008, where the choir also won a special prize for the best Slovenian choir of the competition. In 2008 we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the birth of Slovenian composer Pavle Merkú with a special cycle of concerts.
