In October 2012, the Choir was awarded the prestigious title of Choir of the Year 2012, after an extensive UK-wide search and a competitive Grand Final held at London's Royal Festival Hall. the ensemble was established in 2007 by present Musical director andrew Nunn and performs regularly across Scotland and beyond, having given concerts in renowned venues such as Glasgow Cathedral, the SECC, Dunkeld Cathedral, Paisley Abbey, the Mackintosh Church, the Queen's Hall, the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and London’s Cadogan Hall. the Choir has also performed in more obscure locations, having “sung on the subway” as part of the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) promotion of the Glasgow underground. EnChor began singing together in the fall of 2005. We are an auditioned group of approximately 32 singers, coming from a broad cross section of the Calgary and area community. EnChor proudly highlights the work of Canadian artists, and includes Canadian content in every concert. An important part of our directive is to collaborate with fellow Calgary artists. We have shared our concerts with Paul Rumbolt and Friends, Players Ensemble, the Calgary Men’s Chorus, the Calgary Renaissance Singers, Foothills Brass, One Accord, Youth EnChor, Corps Bara Dance theatre, Cum Vino Cantus, UofC Orchestra, Calgary jazz Musician Gerry Hebert, and story-teller Jan McLean.  less

In the past years, Chamber Choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian Choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national Choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). the Choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed Choirs’.

Pacifica Singers provides an ideal performance venue for experienced and motivated choral singers whose goal is to make Music at a very high level. By providing direct exposure to the world of professional Music making, it is an experience of great value for singers intending to make a career in Music. Current members live throughout the lower mainland, with many serving as conductors, Music educators, and/or professional singers in their communities.  less
