It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director from 1995 to 2023. Our current classical Musical Director is Matthew Thomas Morgan, and our current jazz Musical Director is Jill Jarman. The group comprises two classical choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and a much larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir; and two jazz choirs – an auditioned mixed Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers two different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more experienced singer. The Addison Singers normally operate on three 10-week terms (the same as the schools) with a concert or recital at the end of each term. From 2001-2017 the choir was directed by jazz musician and conductor Fraser Gartshore. The current musical director is composer and conductor Stephen Harrap. We specialise in English-language choral music, both sacred and secular. The choir performs regularly in and around Bonn and is best known for its traditional Christmas carol services and concerts. The Sainte-Anne Singers is a chamber ensemble founded in 1987 in Sainte-Anne de Bellevue (30 minutes west of Montreal), with the aim of exploring a wide range of a cappella repertoire.Their concerts generally include Renaissance, pop, jazz and contemporar...  moreThe Sainte-Anne Singers is a chamber ensemble founded in 1987 in Sainte-Anne de Bellevue (30 minutes west of Montreal), with the aim of exploring a wide range of a cappella repertoire.Their concerts generally include Renaissance, pop, jazz and contemporary choral music, with an emphasis on Canadian composers and arrangers. The choir has a high calibre of Singers drawn by its demanding musical standard and the opportunity to explore recently created music. Among the group's twenty-four members are piano and voice teachers, soloists, choir directors, organists and others with musical training. The ensemble has previously reached the quarter- and semi-finals of the CBC Radio Competition for Amateur Choirs. In May 2010, they were awarded second place in the chamber choir category of the National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs. They have performed twice at Podium, Canada's national choral conference, most recently in May 2014 in Halifax.  less
