"Tonight, Tonight" is from West Side Story with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and music by Leonard Bernstein. It was adapted for barbershop by Jay Giallombardo and made famous by the quartet "Acoustix". Danny and I transcribed it in the fall of 2008 and it has become one of our favourite songs to sing in the quartet. In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral music' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. Youth Choruses have two convenient campuses with the professional support of Caroline Crocker and Bonny Tynch and Youth Chorus Directors. Additionally, full time accompanists and music educators meet the rehearsal and music education portions of this semi-professional chorus.
