The Choir is conducted by the Director of Chapel Music, assisted by two organ scholars. The Choir makes occasional visits to other British churches and cathedrals, as well as an annual foreign tour, recent destinations have included USA, Mexico, Sweden, Thailand, Rome and Prague. Emmanuel College Choir has released a number of recordings, most recently a CD of works by the Edwardian composer E W Naylor, a former Organist and Honorary Fellow of the College. In a short time the Choir has achieved a valuable role in the Finnish community in The Netherlands. TAIKA practices in The Hague. The Choir has a wide repertoire, ranging from folk to pop, with an emphasis on Finnish female choral Music. However, the Choir enthusiastically performs songs from all around the world. The Choir performs in a wide range of events hosted by businesses and organisations. In the spring of 2015 the Choir was performing for the first time abroad - in Finland. Summer 2017 Choir was in Verona, Italy, taking a part of an international Choir Festival.  less

The Choir has a wide-ranging repertoire – from traditional sacred Music to modern, contemporary compositions, popular arrangements and Music from around the world. They perform regular concerts in London and the South East, as well as touring each year, with recent trips including Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Greece. In 2025 the Choir celebrated their 10th Birthday year, and the 25th anniversary of the founding of Northern Spirit Singers. Rehearsing monthly in central London, Southern Spirit Singers aim to perform the very highest standards of choral Music in a relaxed and fun environment. In 2019 the Choir returned with four gold medals from the European Choir Games in Gothenburg.
