Amabile has almost 300 singers aged eight through adult, in eight choirs — four for girls and women, and four for boys and men. Amabile has achieved acclaim on national and world stages for its excellence in choral performance, with 14 CBC National Choral Competition awards and 7 international competition awards.

The piece was written for the 50th anniversary of the Habaneras Contest in Torrevieja, Spain. The musical writing has nothing of a traditional habanera. The constant habanera rhythm is not present but must be felt as an internal rhythm. What I hAve included is the alternation of minor and major modes so typical of habaneras. An...  moreBased in Rockville, MD, a suburb of Washington, DC, we are a professional choral-orchestral ensemble supported by grants from The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Additional support comes from private foundations, including the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, as well as gifts from the general public, and the 19/19/19 Campaign. ​We are the House Ensemble of The Rockville Bach Academy, Inc, a non-profit organization chartered in Maryland. Founded in 2011 by conductor Richard Allen Roe, the group first took the name The Advent Project, owing to the Advent repertoire performed on their first concert. The group has since explored a wide range of repertoire, from Renaissance to Romantic era a cappella music, with a strong emphasis on the cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach. ​Along with their concert performances, ChorSymphonica has developed a unique concert experience, called Conversation Concerts. It is a chamber choir dedicated to European vocal music from the nineteenth century onwards. As its director, Pierre Louis Godeberge has given with the Groupe Vocal GYMEL numerous concerts in Paris and its metropolitan area, in Champagne-Ardennes, Touraine and Normandy. He has conducted both religious and secular a cappella repertoires, notably Slavic and Church slavonic music. He has also premièred works by French contemporary composers (Bicalho, Maillé, Anders). With a large repertoire ranging from art to popular music, and stretching from the medieval to the contemporary in style, this choir gives many concerts throughout the academic year, both in Ireland and abroad. Following a competitive selection process each September, eighteen gifted students are awarded a scholarship, with recipients of the award coming from a range of academic disciplines across the university, from Music to Medicine, Law, Agricultural Science, Commerce and Engineering. The choir regularly broadcasts on Irish television and radio. Since its formation in 1999, the group frequently performs with orchestras, including the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the Earley Musicke Ensemble and the European Union Chamber Orchestra, and on the university campus with the UCD Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonic choir.
