Our subscription series offers innovative, collaborative concerts of classical masterworks, modern American repertoire and seasonal music. Having made several successful concert tours to Europe and the U.K., in 2008 the ROS made award-winning appearances in the Olympic Cultural Festival with concerts in Beijing and Shanghai. The ROS is a frequent guest of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. We welcome advanced singers for weekly rehearsals in Rochester, New York, USA. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing...  moreThe Outer Banks Chorus is a group of 80+ singers dedicated to bringing excellent Choral music of all kinds to Dare County, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in the Fall and a Spring concert), there are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in the spring of 2011, the group performed at the Wright Brothers Monument for the Centennial of the Wright Brothers Glider Flight. The repertoire of the Outer Banks Chorus ranges from the Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently the chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers. All are invited to hear the chorus sing exceptionally lovely and wonderful Choral music.  less

Background The Simon Carrington Chamber Singers (SCCS), led by artistic director Simon Carrington, is a world class Choral music ensemble based in Kansas City. The group was founded in 2008 by three of Carrington’s former students who shared the desire to form an elite professional vocal chamber ensemble under his direction. SCCS, an ensemble of 24 singers, performs a diverse and challenging repertoire that spans the ages. The group showcases a unique sound that reflects Carrington’s musical sensibilities: a clear, bright tone with a measured use of vibrato which allows a clear and expressive delivery of the text. We preform Choral music, ethnic music and modern songs emphasis on Slovenian authors. We preform a lot across Slovenia on solo tours or we prefrom on different cultural events. For four years in a row, we organize Festival oktetov Kranj (Festival of small vocal groups). We also preformed successfully abroad in Perast, Montenegro and Praga.
