It’s been at least 15-20 years now that we have participated in numerous festivals and concerts all over Greece but also all over Europe. In 2005, as adults, we decided to establish this particular group with the assistance of the Children’s Choir. We have given concerts in Hungary, in several cities in Greece and especially in Chalkidiki. In 2011 new members have been included in the group and we have changed our name into “THAMYRIADES”. Our repertory extends from classical to rock, pop and musical. You will have the opportunity to listen to us in selected halls. In Greek mythology, Thamyris (Greek: Θάμυρις), son of Philammon and the nymph Argiope, was a Thracian singer who was so proud of his skill that he boasted he could outsing the Muses. This work served as the finale for The Vocal Art Ensemble's 5th Anniversary "GODAI--Choral Music Summoning the Five Ancient Elements" concerts, at once representing 'Void' which is both nothing and everything. This also served to encore each of the instrumental ensembles involved in the concert program.  

We are 2 enthousiastic and small Vocal Groups (max. 15 singers/group), VocalCompany I & II, under direction of (Jazz)singer/singing teacher/conductor Hanne Vansant. We sing repertoire in the styles Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Pop and focus during weekly lesso...  onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreone;">We are 2 enthousiastic and small Vocal Groups (max. 15 singers/group), VocalCompany I & II, under direction of (Jazz)singer/singing teacher/conductor Hanne Vansant. We sing repertoire in the styles Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Pop and focus during weekly lessons on blend, enthousiasm, musicality & empowerment of singers through excercises on all the aspects of singing and singing in a Vocal Group. We are 2 young ensembles, but we aim towards performing and giving concerts.
