Singers in this Ensemble demonstrate a high level of commitment to choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around the world. The Chamber Choir forms the core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout the year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, the Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and the Richard Eaton Singers.  less

Under the tutelage of the current Philippine Madrigal Singers member, Jet Torres, the group has won in local choral competitions and has been participating in various choral festivals. Each year, the group also holds fund-raising concert activities to support its annual outreach programs.

Original members: Margareta Bengtson, Katarina Henryson, Anders Edenroth, Peder Karlsson and Anders Jalkéus. Later members: Emma Nilsdotter, Morten Vinther, Janis Strazdins, Lisa Östergren and Anton Forsberg.  

This is the Florida State University Singers at the Florida Convention of the American Choral Directors Association on October 31, 2014. The Singers are under the Direction of Dr. Kevin Fenton.

The first hurdle was deciding which excerpts from the testimonies of Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford to set, which meant reading and listening and living inside these women’s harrowing stories for an extended period. And like most women, the most discomfiting aspect of listening to their testimony is the recognition. When I first heard about Ford’s experience, I was disturbed by its similarity to an incident that happened to me. I went to an all-girls private school, and we sometimes partnered with an all-boys private school for musicals. The mission of Nashville Singers is to entertain, educate, unite and uplift their audiences and members through music that is distinguished for its innovation, diversity and artistic excellence. Their philanthropic mission of Nashville Singers is to provide funding and support for music education in our schools and the community. The Singers are all volunteers, range in age from teenagers to retirees and travel from five different counties throughout Middle Tennessee to be a part of the chorus.
