This A-Cappella 4-voice version uses three altos and one bass, a cappella. It explores a couple of alternative modes for the theme: Octatonic and Dorian. Die fließenden Rhythmen in Christina Georgina Rossettis Gedicht führen wie von selbst zu einer melodischen Vertonung. Die Sopran- und Tenorstimmen wechseln sich ab, indem sie jeweils die Melodie der Strophen 1 bzw. 2 singen, während die anderen Stimmen beschwingt und jazzig begleiten.
