We are a multi-racial, multi-cultural arts education organization based centrally in West Palm Beach at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. Our enrollment for the 2013-2014 choir season is comprised of singers in grades 3-12 from all parts of Palm Beach County's diverse racial, ethnic, geographic, and socio-economic communities.

It was founded in 1998 in response to the success of the Choral Meeting of Alexandria Municipality and mainly because of the Alexandrians who love the choral music and the encouragement of the Board Members of the Choir at the time. Like Melissanthi, Alexandrian Voices is, in the wider area of Alexandria, the music institution that target to the development of choral music, of course through the good company and the love for music itself. From the beginning it counts approximately 50 choristers, all amateurs (meaning that none has studied music) who love and sing almost all kinds of music. Since their beginning, Alexandrian Voices had the opportunity to participate and be distinguished in numerous events, competitions or not, musical or of special interest. Its first members were students of the Club's Music School and many of them participated in the Youth Choir of the city of Heraklion, under ...  moreTHALITAS vocal ensemble was first created in 1996 as an activity of the “APOLLON” Music Club by Giorgos Kaloutsis. Its first members were students of the Club's Music School and many of them participated in the Youth Choir of the city of Heraklion, under the direction of Mrs. Katerina Tzagkaraki. The name of the ensemble originates from Thalitas, an ancient cretan composer and legislator, after whom a street in Heraklion is named; in this street the first rehearsals of the ensemble took place. The ensemble's primary goal was to acquaint its members with the a cappella (“in the chapel”, without church organ accompaniment) vocal music of the renaissance period. THALITAS began by studying and performing works of renowned composers of that era (e.g. Josquin des Prez, G. P. da Palestrina, Orlando di Lasso) to assist the learning process of its members' musical studies.
