The cornerstone of the Chorus ...  moreAs a nationally recognized choral organization offering musical training and performance to a diverse group of choristers, the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus has provided an artistic and cultural resource in Tucson for 75 years. The cornerstone of the Chorus is traditional boychoir music including sacred and secular pieces spanning the Middle Ages to the present. The Chorus incorporates songs and ballads of the American Southwest and other repertoire into its program in a unique way. Costumed as cowboys the boys sing the songs of the saddle and showcase their trick rodeo roping. The Chorus also performs contemporary music including Broadway show tunes, international songs, holiday music and modern favorites. Additionally, the Chorus represents the Tucson community as a world renowned choral organization. It has toured throughout the U.S. and many countries around the world. We perform at annual shows, community events and competitions, and several members are also in quartets. TuneTown Show Chorus puts a contemporary spin on traditional barbershop singing and has won four Sweet Adelines regional Chorus competitions to go on to represent a multi-state region in international contests.

We sing a variety of music ranging from show-tunes to pop, moving ballads to toe-tapping up-tunes, with a preference for harmony music in the barbershop style. Phoenix have performed around the world, in the USA, Canada, Holland and Ireland as well as all over Britain in world renowned venues such as the Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Albert Hall and The Sage in Gateshead.  

A gospel song, celebrating Pentecost and recorded by the choir in their homes during the Covid-19 lockdown of Spring Summer 2020. The song premiered on London's Wandsworth Prison Radio on 31st May 2020 is dedicated to the staff and prisoners there.

We are a truly trans-generational choir consisting of staff, parents, colleagues, friends and family from across the Formby High School community. At full strength, we have over 80 talented members and we have recently launched a smaller ‘function’ group – the ‘G:Force Executive’ for weddings and private functions. We support the national Sing Up campaign and perform regularly across the local community. This exciting and innovative choir rehearses every Tuesday evening during term time, from 6.30pm til 8.00pm. Join us for fun and laughter every week, plus great gigs, inspirational songs and memorable experiences!
