The group was set up to perform exciting vocal material at a variety of events, and to give men and women who love singing, the platform to get involved in a fun and sociable musical experience. The Voice Of The Town family has now grown and not only do we have our choirs in Newcastle and Edinburgh, but we now have choirs in Glasgow and Birmingham.

En la...  moreLa Escolanía María Auxiliadora (EMA) es un coro de voces blancas que nace en 1997 en el Colegio María Auxiliadora (Salesianas) de Cádiz por iniciativa de Antonio Hernández Asencio, profesor de música del centro y director musical desde su fundación. En la actualidad sus componentes vienen desde distintos centros escolares, institutos y facultades. En sus ya 18 años de historia la EMA ha participado en multitud de concursos, encuentros y congresos con coros de todo el mundo y ha sido invitada a colaborar en galas y proyectos benéficos. Tuvieron especial relevancia los encuentros nacionales en Guadix (Granada), Toledo, Oviedo y Murcia, así como los congresos internacionales en Granada, Estocolmo, Roma y París. En julio de 2012 realizó una intensa gira de siete conciertos en la región de Aveyron (Francia), en abril de 2013 fue invitada al I Festival Internacional de Coros en Casablanca (Marruecos) y en 2014 al Festival Internacional de Canto Coral en Tánger. New members are always welcome! The Choir regularly performs at weddings, corporate events and massed male voice choir events, enthralling audiences up and down the country, having also performed in Jersey, Ireland, Belgium, Germany and the USA. Choristers hail from all over North London and have raised substantial funds for national and local charities including the Paul Strickland Scanner Appeal, The Stroke Association, the RAF Benevolent Fund and Bentley Priory Museum. It is open to all no matter what musical background, if any you may have. We "sing for the the sheer joy of it" and do local concerts. Recently we have sung at a large church inter-denominational christmas gathering and the highlight of the year to sing at a wedding at the request of the Bride and Groom.

BUMC Jazz Choir 2008 members, the winners of the IKSV Young Jazz 2008, who have boosted their success by attending to the most prestigious a cappella contest in the world, 'Vokal Total', in both pop and jazz categories and won 2 'Silver Diplom's and also have sung many times in many festivals such as the 15th International Istanbul Jazz Festival and the Akbank 18th Jazz Festival. They also gave special concerts with Sertab Erener (ESC 2003 winner). The group carries on with their professional musical careers under the name “Istanbul Essence”.
