The work was written for His Eminence John Patrick Cardinal Foley, Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, and was premiered on the March 2011 tour of the Saint Mary's University Chamber Singers to Rome. This performance is from the choir's homecoming concert, March 17, 2011, with the composer conducting.

During its 55-year existence, the aim of the chorus has been development of artistic concert activities through the choral singing, interpretation of pieces of music of Slovak and foreign composers who write their pieces of music in the field of choral singing. The main credo is propagation of choral art and tradition and last but not least representation of city of Žilina and Slovakia all over the Europe and the world.
