Out Aloud is Sheffield's Gay Choir. It was formed in 2006 and enables lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgendered people in Sheffield to enjoy singing as a community. There are no auditions and members dont need to be experenced singers or read music.

【wow! 合唱】音樂會 時間/ 2014年9月20日 地點/ 大東文化藝術中心 指揮/ 朱如鳳 鋼琴/ 楊郁雯 曲: Einojuhani Rautavaara 芬蘭當代知名作曲家勞塔瓦拉（Einojuhani Rautavaara， 1928-），節選四首二十世紀著名西班牙詩人羅卡（FederícoGarcía Lorca， 1898-1936）的詩作譜成，樂曲帶有神秘主義思維，以強烈的頑固節奏、尖銳的和聲和戲劇張力，刻畫羅卡一貫帶有悲劇色彩的詩詞，本曲亦是勞塔瓦拉最具代表性...  more【wow! 合唱】音樂會 時間/ 2014年9月20日 地點/ 大東文化藝術中心 指揮/ 朱如鳳 鋼琴/ 楊郁雯 曲: Einojuhani Rautavaara 芬蘭當代知名作曲家勞塔瓦拉（Einojuhani Rautavaara， 1928-），節選四首二十世紀著名西班牙詩人羅卡（FederícoGarcía Lorca， 1898-1936）的詩作譜成，樂曲帶有神秘主義思維，以強烈的頑固節奏、尖銳的和聲和戲劇張力，刻畫羅卡一貫帶有悲劇色彩的詩詞，本曲亦是勞塔瓦拉最具代表性的作品，四個樂章各有千秋，一氣呵成： 1. 騎士之歌（Canción de jinete） 男低音演唱頑固低音貫穿全曲，象徵著騎士所騎的矮黑馬不停的往前走，而女聲扮演敘事者角色，並利用不諧和音程表現出詭譎緊張的氣氛。 2. 尖嘯（El Grito ） 作曲家以現代音樂的滑音技巧模擬奸嘯聲，營造神祕驚悚的畫面。 3. 月亮探出頭來（La lunaasoma） 樂章起始，以女聲的同音、二度轉換，製造音響張力，敘述故事場景，並使用滑音營造出無亙的空間感。接著，透過下三聲部平行和弦烘托出夜晚的色彩，女高音獨唱突破凝重的氣氛，最後回到一開始的同音二度轉換技法，相互呼應。 4. 馬拉加女孩（Malagueña） 男低音回溯第一樂章的頑固低音，形容死神急切的的腳步聲，上三聲部仍使用大量平行和弦闡述故事脈絡，歌詞重複之後，其他聲部陸續加入八分音符頑固音型，表現死神的逼近。 1. Since its formation in 1964, the Choir appears annually at the Welsh Proms and has performed with many of the world’s leading conductors, orchestras and soloists including: Sir Colin Davies; Sir Andrew Davies; Tadaaki Otaka; Owain Arwel Hughes; The London Symphony Orchestra; BBC National Orchestra of Wales; The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Raphael Wallfisch, Luciano Pavarotti; Dame Kiri Te Kanawa; Felicity Lott and Bryn Terfel. We have also sung for both the Queen and Nelson Mandela. The Choir’s versatility has led to countless recordings and broadcasts on both Radio and Television, most recently on BBC Radio 4. Commissioning of new works remains high on the Choir’s artistic agenda alongside an active tradition of promoting the work of Welsh composers, notably that of William Mathias, Alun Hoddinott, Geraint Lewis, John Metcalf & Mervyn Burtch.
