Background The Simon Car...  moreMission The Simon Carrington Chamber Singers – a world-class choral music ensemble led by renowned artistic director Simon Carrington – engages and enriches audiences through concerts, recordings and educational programs. Background The Simon Carrington Chamber Singers (SCCS), led by artistic director Simon Carrington, is a world class choral music ensemble based in Kansas City. The group was founded in 2008 by three of Carrington’s former students who shared the desire to form an elite professional vocal chamber ensemble under his direction. SCCS, an ensemble of 24 singers, performs a diverse and challenging repertoire that spans the ages. The group showcases a unique sound that reflects Carrington’s musical sensibilities: a clear, bright tone with a measured use of vibrato which allows a clear and expressive delivery of the text. Lo forman estudiantes de las especialidades que ofrece la Universidad de Piura (Perú). Se inician en el canto polifónico postulando primero a la Coral Universitaria, por donde han pasado cerca de mil jóvenes diferentes en los últimos 15 años. Los más destacados, son admitidos en el Coro, donde se perfeccionan a través de ensayos semanales, bajo la dirección del Maestro Hernández. Normalmente actúan entre 35 y 50 jóvenes, que saben armonizar su tiempo de clases y estudio con los ensayos. Desde 1989 el Coro y la Coral son promovidos por el Dr. Luis Eguiguren Callirgos. We are an adult all-volunteer Chorus with a membership that spans nationalities, generations and professions — united by a passion for music and singing. Some of our members have had a lifetime of music and choral experience; others are only just beginning to discover the joy of singing. Whichever stage our members are experiencing in their personal musical journeys, the IFC is filled with enriching opportunities to learn and grow both as musicians and as individuals. The IFC is committed to sharing our love for music and choral singing with the community through two formal concerts a year and additional performances at private and public events.  less

We provide music for all occasions, such as private parties, corporate functions, weddings, birthdays, etc., with a varied repertoire in the style of The Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices, The Real Group, Singers Unlimited, The Swingle Singers, Take Six and others. Clearly Vocal was selected as one of seven groups to compete in the 2010 Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes in Denver, Colorado. As winners of the 2010 Contemporary A Cappella League Showcase, Clearly Vocal was a featured group at the SoJam A Cappella Festival in Durham, North Carolina, November 12 & 13, 2010.  less

Though founded and based in Whitby, our membership is made up of residents from all over Durham Region and the GTA. We truly represent and reflect the diversity of the Region in which we perform. The Choir currently numbers 70 to 80 Choir members ranging in age from 18 to 80.  

Founded in October 2017, by Andrew Leung. Vox Antiqua is formed by a group of passionate and professional Catholic singers in Hong Kong. We dedicate ourselves in praying and singing choral liturgical music in its highest standard.
