We are directed by The dynamic Scott Inglis-Kidger, a music graduate from Cambridge University and previously a countertenor in The renowned King’s College Choir. Scott selects a fabulous range of music for us to work on and we are incredibly lucky to be supported by a professional orchestra and top professional soloists. All of this, combined with The commitment and enthusiasm of our members, makes for performances which are thrilling for The audience and exhilerating for The singers. We still retain a sense of joy of singing and of friendship and celebrate all our concerts with parties at our local Battersea pub.
We do not hold auditions so if you would like to come and join us you are very welcome at any time to try a rehearsal or two and Then decide if you would like to join. We are currently very keen to recruit more tenors and basses though all voices are welcome.

We enjoyed The most terrific day of music-making on Saturday, 1st September 2012, culminating in a wonderful performance of 'In The Dark' in Hall One at Kings Place. One of The audience members commented: "That was The most sublimely beautiful concert I can remember ever attending".
Bachtrack gave The concert 5 STARS:
"Their voices float, soar, and whisper, while creating both an exquisite intimacy and an expansive grandeur, as The text demands...Their scrupulous attention to detail, and immaculate intonation and articulation made this a performance of spine-tingling beauty and conviction."
Thank you to everyone who supported us; The atmosphere was electrifying!

The song is There described as "a comic song" written and composed by James Yorkston (of Scotland) and arranged by Edmund Forman. Because it is noted as printed with permission of an Edinburgh firm, There was clearly an earlier version. Although The song is The unofficial anThem of Dublin and generally regarded as Irish, it was, in fact, written by a Scotsman.
This outdoor performance was The culmination of a six-week project which creates a Choir from scratch for one night only. Each winter and summer, Chris Rowbury gaThers a random bunch of singers from in and around Ipswich. There are no auditions and all songs are taught and learnt by ear. Usually eight songs are learnt in six two-hour sessions and in The summer are performed outdoors near Ipswich. http://chrisrowbury.com less

Besides The usual church festivals, we also have special services for Refugee Week, Gay Pride, Holocaust Memorial, and oTher special commemorations.
