The words are my own and tell Of children playing their games in the dusty streets (ie Of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to the angels and join their singing. Spera means Hope in Latin, and it is a members’ shared vision on music. All members studied a sacred choral music under Koji Oguchi, choir director, when they were high school students. They were deeply touched by Oguchi’s music and established the Ensemble Choir SPERA. Making its debut in concert in March 2014 at Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, SPERA’s music was highly prized and well-reviewed in newspapers. It serves in Masses and services and performs in concerts as an ecumenical choir, composed Of students from Kitasato University, International Christian University, Hitotsubashi University and Rikkyo University. We "sing for the the sheer joy Of it&...  moreThis choir is part Of Community Development by Hope Citadel Health Care and the Salvation Army Eden project in Fitton Hill Oldham. It is open to all no matter what musical background, if any you may have. We "sing for the the sheer joy Of it" and do local concerts. Recently we have sung at a large church inter-denominational christmas gathering and the highlight Of the year to sing at a wedding at the request Of the Bride and Groom.

All Of the places are in Devon, except Callington, which is in Cornwall, but it is likely to be the correct place since it is so close to the centre Of the events - ie towns and villages North and West Of Dartmoor. (The Yetties' version Of the Song refers to "North Looe", but this is very unlikely to be correct, since Looe is much further into Cornwall).
