The choir is made up of 25 members from a variety of professional backgrounds, including teachers, scientists, clerics, accountants, carpenters, and engineers. The choir's repertoire consists mainly of choral works from the renaissance and 20th century, as well as contemporary pieces in Hungarian, English, Latin, Italian, French, and German. The Gesualdo Choir has earned several national and international awards, winning top ratings in Hungary as well as 2nd and 3rd place prizes at the prestigious Tonen choir competition in the Netherlands. The Choir performs 15 times each year within Hungary, and continually seeks opportunities to spread the beauty of the Hungarian choral tradition abroad. We are a newly formed ensemble of women's voices from Canterbury in Kent. Our repertoire ranges from classical motet to jazz and female barbershop. We perform on a regular basis across Kent and have on going partnership links with choirs in the UK and France.

On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition. In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of the choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records. This was the first group to become active at Academia Concerto in 2005 and during this time has made significant projects such as the participation in the Opera "Il Capulletti ed Il Montecchi" by Bellini, with first complete performance in Brazil in São Pedro Theatre - São Paulo, sang the American Musical "Video Games Live" with composer Jack Wall, made a joint presentation with the American choir "BYU Singers", performed Vivaldi’s "Beatus Vir" RV 579 for two choirs and orchestra with Madrigal Mackenzie.
