This auditioned choir has 150 adult mixed voices and 300 youth mixed voices rehearsing weekly to bring various masterworks, original pieces, collaborations and new arrangements to the ears of many. Doug Mears is the Artistic Director with Patrick Vaughn as Youth Director. Youth Choruses have two convenient campuses with the professional support of Caroline Crocker and Bonny Tynch and Youth Chorus Directors. Additionally, full time accompanists and music educators meet the rehearsal and music education portions of this semi-professional chorus. FCS is honored to work with renown musicians, conductors and orchestras to present the finest Choral programs available. Sometimes we join other choruses to produce even larger musical works. We work mainly, though not exclusively, from music, some of ...  moreCoMA Voices is based in London. We meet for specific performance projects and workshops. We are open to all singers with no auditions and previous experience of contemporary music is not needed. We work mainly, though not exclusively, from music, some of which is unconventionally notated. Most of our work is a capella and the focus is on ensemble singing. One objective is to expand the contemporary amateur vocal repertoire, which is less developed than the instrumental repertoire. We work with composers and students, commissioning works and showcasing material for use by others.  less

Aiming for 16-20 voices, SATB, rehearse in Hammersmith/Chiswick, about every 2 or 3 weeks. All busy professional folk, who understand we cannot all make every rehearsal! All busy professional folk, who understand we cannot all make every rehearsal! Classical almost always unaccompanied repertoire. Palestrina, Bach, Victoria, Britten, Howells, RVW, Elgar, Poulenc etc, Need enthusiasm, music reading and some sight singing, or a good ear and quick learning. We dont audition, but invite you to try us and we to try you for a couple of sessions and see. Perform about 2 or 3 times a year.

We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide range of classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for The Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.

We give you the pleasure of enjoying fine music and knowing you are a part of a musical community - a team that enriches the life of all of us. We currently have about 50 members. We feature a variety of music from popular to classical. Our selections are fun and challenging for singers and entertaining and rewarding for audiences. Open rehearsals for potential new members are held in September and January at the beginning of the rehearsal seasons. No formal auditions are held, but we do expect new members to be experienced in four part Choral singing, and to have some ability to read along with sheet music. We are always concerned with maintaining a good balance of voices, and we cannot promise to accept all applicants.
