The members are composed of high school, College students and out of school youth and employees who lives in Timog, CAA, Las Piñas City that is why the former name of the choir was Timog Youth Choir. Ably assisted by, now emeritus, music director David Low, the founding members saw their numbers grow to a membership of sixty choristers. the choir continues to grow musically under the direction of William Woloschuk and accompanist Matthew Coons. Although many of the current members still lay claim to Welsh connections, the TWMVC now has members from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. The TWMVC proudly draws on the great Welsh tradition of singing hymns and songs born of the mountains and valleys of Wales. At the same time it emphasizes a multicultural context in its broad repertoire which also includes spirituals; operatic arias, Canadian folk songs as well as Broadway show tunes and contemporary music. Our blend of traditional and contemporary music, all sung off book in accorda...    less

We rehearse at the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within the society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). Another possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. Another possibility is a joint concert with another UCS. And what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals? Handel's Messiah? COME ALONG AND HAVE YOUR SAY!  less

No Bow Ties. No Blazers. No Auditions. Just men and song. The mighty Male Voice classics from the valleys of the Land of the Dragon. Insane Georgian/Bulgarian repertoire to make the very stones weep Vintage cheese from the Barbershop tradition (tempered with a small pinch of salt) Also anthems concerning the wonders of facial hair, garden sheds, reversing round corners, etc.... Not so much a new idea as a distillation of every great 'man-singing' concept' that has ever graced this earth. Rolled into one. In Bristol. By the people who created 'Gurt Lush Choir'. It will be BIG & fun. Virile & beautiful. Devilishly charming... ...You know you want to....  less
