In 2024, Elektra expanded its embrace to welcome all adult treble voices, celebrating a diverse and gender-inclusive community of singers. Cassie Luftspring was appointed as Elektra’s new Artistic Director in 2025 following Morna Edmundson’s departure at the end of the Choir’s 38th season. Cassie brings her unique vision and expertise to lead Elektra into an exciting new chapter. Elektra is known for its brilliant programming and multidisciplinary initiatives, with collaborative artist Dr. Stephen Smith playing a pivotal role in their spellbinding performances. Our repertoire is all original, written by Choir members and has emerged as a new tribal choral tradition that honors death as a natural, expected, sometimes very inspiring event in a life. While we don't require auditions, our welcome process is rigorous. This kind of singing is spiritual work and is deeply rewarding for those who are called to it.

Ensemble Laude is a community of women united by a passion for choral music and the vision of our Artistic Director, Elizabeth MacIsaac. We celebrate the beauty and resilience of women’s vocal traditions through the ages and seek to share this art form through joyful, soulful, and life-enhancing performances that gladden the heart, lift the spirit, and expand the mind.
