Its repertoire consists of Negro spirituals and African songs, as well as interesting part interpretations of pop and soul songs. The Choir often performs at social events and Zagreb City events for tourists, and also regularly participates in domestic, national and international choral events, festivals and competitions.

These young people toget...  moreThe "Santa Maria" Choir is founded on November 21st, 1993, and arises from a group of singers linked with the Parish of Santa Maria de la Estrella (Coria del Río) who decide to set up a Polyphonic Choir. These young people together with some pupils of the newly created Conservatory of Coria (1991), begin to take part in numerous religious acts where they interpret authors' plays like To. Lotti, W.A. Mozart, J.A. García, J.S. Bach, G.F. Haendel, and so on. In 1995 the young Sergio Asián takes charge of the Choir direction leading it to offering its first concert in June 1996. In the following years, from 1997 to 2000, the Choir focuses its training on PLAAYS of the Middle Age and the Rennaisance managing to get an instrumental group that is added tO its name: “Instrumental Chamber and Chapel Santa María Choir” The popularity of the Choir causes its increasing in members from 18 to 35 in a few years, forcing the group to change their musical style so that it leaves the inst...    less

Due to its diligent and devoted work, with repertoire including pieces by Croatian and other authors spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century, the Choir reached high quality of interpretation, soon recognized by audience. After many successful performances in Split and the region, the Choir started to participate in various national and international choral competitions, having achieved notable results. Thus, the short but interesting history of the Choir includes: - 3rd place at “Croatian Choral Assembly” in 2009 and 2011, and 1st place at this competition in 2010, 2012 and 2013; - two silver certificates at international choral competition “Slovakia Cantat 2010”; - awards won at the competition “Cro Patria” (3rd award of the jury in 2010 and 1st award of the audience in 2012); - two silver medals at World Choir Championships held in Graz in Ju...    less

We are a small English speaking pop Choir with a large variety of mostly European nationalities right in the center of Brussels. We rehearse every Tuesday from 19:00 til 21:00 in the Atelier Marcel Hastir, rue du Commerce 51, 1000 Brussels. We usually do two concerts per year and like to socialize as well. Please feel free to join us and give it a try. When you come to the Atelier Marcel Hastir, the door is usually open (if not call on below mentioned number) and our rehearsing room is on the second floor.  less
