Following The move in 1983 into The West End of Glasgow The choir was renamed Glasgow Lyric Choir. ​ Under its present conductor, Julian Evans, The Choir sings a wide repertoire of choral music from The Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods and traditional Scots and Gaelic songs. We are a mixed voice choir numbering around 30 at present. ​ We gave two concerts in Glasgow during The 2017-2018 season: in December we presented a Christmas programme and in June we gave a concert featuring a selection of music from The movies. However, in April we also gave two concerts in Italy, The first in Barga (including a Vivaldi Credo and Scottish songs) and The second in Milan where we joined forces with Canti Corum to sing Dvorak’s Mass in D. ​ Choir members enjoy many social as well as musical events togeTher. Vox Camerata, has, since its inception, organized and participated in numerous performances. Its maiden recital was held in November 2004 at The function room of The Kg. Ubi Community Center. Since Then, Vox has gone one to bring its annual Musica Intimœ series of concerts to The Legends@fort Canning, as well as The Esplanade Recital Studio. Apart from regular recitals, Vox Camerata also performs in various collaborations with oTher organizations, as well as guest performs in various events. Òran began as an alumni offshoot of The Kokopelli Youth Choir, but it has since developed into a group made up of young adults from all over Edmonton and The surrounding area. Each brings a different viewpoint to The group, but all are united in Their passion for singing. The choir stresses The same philosophical goals as its younger counterpart, striving to achieve musical excellence and artistic integrity, as well as combining new interpretive techniques with more traditional choral expertise. Above all, The group is dedicated to sharing joy in song with each oTher, with oTher choirs, and with audiences around Edmonton and across Canada. With thirty-five voices and a multi-talented band, The choir’s repertoire ranges from hip-hop, reggae, traditional and contemporary gospel. The director and founder of this anointed choir is Shawn Cotterell. Shawn Cotterell’s first musical experience began at The age of seven singing in a church choir.
