We perform at least three concerts per Year with professional orchestras or accompaniment in the major Dublin venues and over the Years have undertaken trips to choral festivals abroad. Two regular events are the ever-popular Christmas Concert in the NCH and the Carmichael Centre’s annual fund-raising concert in St, Patrick’s Cathedral, formerly on Good Friday but latterly in May.  

Recorded at the Night of the Museums in the Hungarian National Gallery in Budapest on the 26th of June, 2021 at our first concert after the 1.5-Year-intermission caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

This was written as an ironic parody response to that Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer song we sing every Year! (Rudolphus Rubrinasus syndrome!) (Note: the score has a slightly more ornamented piano part than this performance)

Sectional rehearsals are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays (11 to 11:50AM).

During the tenure of Principal Major Harry L. Reed the Choir won the prestigious R. Meaden Shield(Senior) for Singing for 10 successive Years from 1920 to 1931, once with a perfect score of 200/200. the College Anthem ‘School of our Fathers’, composed by Principal Reed made its debut at this competition on the 13th day of July, 1928 and to this day takes responsibility of preserving the College Anthem. the Choir was trained by Mrs. Reed with the support of Robert C. Edwards, Esq. the Choir today continues to sing at many major events in and out of College, the most significant out of which being the Annual Carol Service. It is currently trained by the eminent Ms. Sureka Amerasinghe.  less
