The Song "Heal The World" was popularized by Michael Jackson which was released in 1991. The message Of this Song is to teach humans to do good to fellow humans, other living things on earth.

The poem has a clear structure (verse – chorus), and the vocal parts are kept straightforward. The striking piece contains some jazzy chords and humorously unexpected twists. This work won the first prize in the 2013 Composition Competition Of the European Choral Association in the frame Of the festival Youth Choirs in Movement.

Spera means Hope in Latin, and it is a members’ shared vision on music. All members studied a sacred choral music under Koji Oguchi, choir director, when they were high school students. They were deeply touched by Oguchi’s music and established the Ensemble Choir SPERA. Making its debut in concert in March 2014 at Tokyo Opera City Recital Hall, SPERA’s music was highly prized and well-reviewed in newspapers. It serves in Masses and services and performs in concerts as an ecumenical choir, composed Of students from Kitasato University, International Christian University, Hitotsubashi University and Rikkyo University. It is open to all no matter what musical background, if any you may have. We "sing for the the sheer joy Of it" and do local concerts. Recently we have sung at a large church inter-denominational christmas gathering and the highlight Of the year to sing at a wedding at the request Of the Bride and Groom.

The co...  moreWeaving a spell - Incantation for Pamela - magic for a while... This Song can be understood on two levels. At first sight it is a simple sentimental piece, but beneath it lies a history Of pure imagination, enchantment and impossibility. The composer already realises he is no longer feeling what he is writing, he is just weaving a spell, over an ostinato guitar motif, to try to bring the feelings back (hence the title "Incantation"). He has found in his life that whenever he writes a Song for the object Of his desire, he has already begun to stop feeling that desire ... it is a sign that the relationship is about to change or disappear. But the whole thing is indeed enchantment and magic: you can dream and you can take the Song at face value if you wish.  less
