No previous experience required! Learn how to use your voice, sing in parts, read music, and discover great songs in a fun and supportive environment. The group sings in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino and English, and has an informal concert/sing-along each term. We also do small performances for charity.  

Full Circle sing songs of all styles in three or four part harmony. You do not need to read music and there are no auditions. We sing for fun and socialise outside of choir. We love to perform, especially for charity.

Our ethos: CONTEXT Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define the themes of our repertoire each year. COLLABORATION Based in Leeds, the choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout the North. We hope to work with a variety of musicians to develop quality and future collaboration within the choir. COMMUNICATION No music?! Yes, we will perform without sheet music in concerts. Downtown Voices has performed works by Reena Esmail, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Arvo Pärt, Anton Webern, Alberto Ginastera, Leoš Janáček, James MacMillan, and Philip Glass. The choir was recently featured in two world premieres: Luna Pearl Woolf’s Number Our Days at the Perelman Performing Arts Center and Benedict Sheehan’s oratorio Akathist, which was recorded alongside Trinity choir, Artefact Ensemble, Trinity Youth Chorus, and NOVUS.
