Our first meeting/rehearsal was in September 2013. We are directed by Maestro Manuel Jesús Sanchidrián Torti who has an excellent reputation as a choral director in Malaga. Our first concert was in Velez-Malaga in December 2013 when we were joined by a children's Choir and a youth orchestra from the Conservatorio “GONZALO MARTIN TENLLADO” in Malaga, both of which are also directed by Manuel Sanchidrián . We plan further concerts and we intend to collaborate with other Choirs from different areas of Spain. Our Singers represent 12 different countries and we sing in a number of languages.  less

The atmosphere in the group is very good and that enables us to really make good and warm music together. We sing a capella as well as accompanied music. Our repertoire is a mix of renaissance and contemporary music, both classical and pop.  

The Southend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' Choir in 1988. The Choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canad...  moreThe Southend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' Choir in 1988. The Choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Seychelles and across Europe. We welcome visiting Choirs and enjoy joining with other youth Choirs in concerts. We have a training Choir for younger Singers, and a Choir for boys whose voices have changed.
