It is formed by children and young people from 6 to 25 years old, who are distributed in three groups. Their activities are set out for The development of sensibility, intelligence, memory, attention, and, at The same time, contribute to achieve The feeling of working togeTher and mutual help and The sincerity of companionship. Likewise, They begin to know The art and culture world by The music, not only polyphonie music, but also popular and modern music. During Their trajectory, The Choir has offered several Concerts, has participated in competitions and festivals and has done tours abroad: France, Italy, Luxemburg, Belgium, The NeTherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia... Driven by The desire of thorough preparation of quality Choral projects, The Choir works under The leadership of Slovene and foreign guest conductors. The Choir prepared Their inaugural Concert, entitled In The Beginning, in cooperation with young Finnish conductor Dani Juris The topic of creation coincided not only with The central composition of The Concert, Copland’s In The Beginning, but also with The Choir’s first public appearance and presentation of The concept of Their work. This smallest and most select of The Hofstra Choirs comprises The best singers at The University, both within and outside The Department of Music, and focuses on The distinct art of unaccompanied, or a cappella, ensemble singing, presented in carefully chosen performance spaces that are uniquely attuned to celebrate The human voice's potential.
