Under the leadership of founding Artistic Director Joshua Copeland, the ensemble strives to present as diverse a program as possible of the world’s greatest choral literature, both sacred and secular, and has performed works ranging from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary masterpieces with a core group of ten to twelve of the New York metropolitan area’s finest singers. In 2008, Antioch was awarded first-place honors in the highly prestigious Tolosa International Choral Competition in Spain, establishing them among the top rank of professional Choirs in the world. Winner of the first prize in Warsaw International Choir Festival 2007. Our repertoire contains International Music, but especially Arabic songs from different heritages (Lebanese, Palestinian, Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian, Mouashah...). And for the first time, we have Arabic songs arranged with quarter tones. Our aim is to show the real civilized image of the Arab world and to spread our rich Music.

Infinitamente agradecidos, amigo. El arreglo corresponde al compositor y arreglista danés Jens Johansen, Director del Coro "Vocal Line".
Canción enormemente versionada, siempre ha habido alrededor de ella, un debate sobre la religiosidad de su letra que fue primando en las sucesivas versiones pero que no parece estar en el original de Leonard Cohen donde la religiosidad se pone al servicio de la poética y no al revés. Usando como metafora la historia del Rey de David, Cohen nos cuenta que, aun con sus reveses y sinsabores, la vida merece que cantemos por ella un "Aleluya".

HomeChoir is a new way of learning Music. You don’t need to be an accomplished singer to take part. HomeChoir members watch and sing along with Ben - teaching is one-way so nobody can hear us but the neighbours! - and are also invited to take part in the live text chat with Ben and with fellow singers around the world. There is a vibrant and friendly social community among the Choir.
If you can’t join in live, then you can still enjoy the Music-making at any time. All our sessions remain available on YouTube after the live streams end for watching on catch-up when you can, and as often as you like.
