Co-directed by Peter Ness and Asher Farber, with piano accompaniment, the Choir requires no auditions, just a love of singing and the ability to carry a tune! We rehearse from September to June on Tuesday evenings in the Bathurst and Finch area. We also perform regularly for seniors at residences in the GTA. Our current classical Musical...  morethe Addison Group of Singers is made up of four different Choirs for singers of all ages, abilities and Musical interests. It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director from 1995 to 2023. Our current classical Musical Director is Matthew Thomas Morgan, and our current jazz Musical Director is Jill Jarman. The group comprises two classical Choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and a much larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir; and two jazz Choirs – an auditioned Mixed Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers two different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more experienced singer. The Addison Singers normally operate on three 10-week terms (the same as the schools) with a concert or recital at the end of each term. They have moved up to the top training level...after starting in beginning levels in the Summit Children's Choir. The group would like to promote their vast repertoire ...  moreFounded in 2001 by Cyrille Rault-Gregorio, the Choir of the “Chambre Arthémys” is comprised of 18 singers chosen especially for their vocal and Musical talents. These singers also perform as soloists. The group would like to promote their vast repertoire of singing ‘a cappella’ (without instruments) pieces from 16th to 21st century and their different styles. As well as being accompanied by orchestral ensembles, the Choir often work with notable composers (Lucian Tuguy, Thibault Maillé, Jean-Christophe Marti…) who help to create the Musical pieces. Ranging from traditional concerts to original and artistic experiences, the Choir is always seeking to give value to all of the creative initiatives. In 2006, the Choir collaborated with dancers from the Paris Opera House for the ballet of Stéphane Elizabé, “De l'Autre côté à l'amphithéâtre Bastille” (From the other side of the Bastille Amphitheatre).
