The choir is made up of students (both of Valley View University and others universities), workers and old students of the university. The group is vehemently dedicated to the mission of winning souls for Christ through song evangelism. The choir has over the years committed itself to staging concerts and singing quality choral gospel and patriotic songs to win souls for God and instilling patriotism in Ghanaian citizens and other African countries. The opening passage is: “Border, sanctuary, asylum, bridges not walls.” The text draws from (and paraphrases) several sources: contemporary media, Emma Lazarus’ “The New Colossus,” the Bible’s Matthew 25:31-40, currency, and others. The changing meters of “Border” fill the work with an uptempo, rhythmic energy that propels it forward. “Border” is a call for justice, empathy and compassion, a summons to our collective conscience. These Singers have already demonstrated their enthusiasm for exploring various genres and styles, and their performances are infused with infectious joy and youthful enthusiasm. They act as ambassadors for the Community School of Music and Arts to reach the broader community through performance and share their love of music.  

Music for Soprano, Boys Choir, Mixed Choir and Chamber Orchestra. Primarily, the score (main part)was written for choir a cappella with optional harp and solo (flute, oboe, violin) instrument.
