One';">moreOne;">Founded by Shireen Abu-Khader in January 2002, Dozan wa Awtar Music Establishment promotes Arabic choral music and creates unique performing arts projects through teaching, composing/arranging, recording, publishing and performing music as well as theatrical productions in collaboration with local and international professional artists and talented youth. The heart of Dozan wa Awtar Music Establishment is singing and community building. Major activities revolve around three groups: Dozan wa Awtar Singers, Dozan and Atfal Dozan. Dozan wa Awtar Singers is an innovative large community choir ranging from 40-60 singers that performs three main concerts a year. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of genres including classical, musical theater, Arabic and world music . Dozan is a chamber choir that experiments with new Arabic arrangements and other world music and specializes in smaller tailored performances as well as festivals and competitions.
