Combining a rich history of male choir Standards with new and unexpected arrangements of contemporary works, this choir delivers beyond expectations. You are as likely to hear a Welsh hymn or folk song as an opera chorus, pop hit, spiritual or contemporary Canadian composition. The Orpheus men are all amateur yet deliver a professional engaging performance from memory. Each performance guarantees an emotional ride through familiar, new, rousing, humorous and classic repertoire. Orpheus annually tours BC to enrich smaller communities with choral entertainment. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canad...  moreThe SouThend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and The Girls' Choir in 1988. The choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Seychelles and across Europe. We welcome visiting choirs and enjoy joining with oTher youth choirs in concerts. We have a training choir for younger singers, and a choir for boys whose voices have changed.

We are a truly trans-generational choir consisting of staff, parents, colleagues, friends and family from across The Formby High School community. At full strength, we have over 80 talented members and we have recently launched a smaller ‘function’ group – The ‘G:Force Executive’ for weddings and private functions. We support The national Sing Up campaign and perform regularly across The local community. This exciting and innovative choir rehearses every Tuesday evening during term time, from 6.30pm til 8.00pm.
