MY RED BOOTS is based on one of only several poems written by my mother, Jewish Holocaust survivor Rita Hoffman of blessed memory (1927–2018). Both she and my late father, Josef Hoffman, were Jewish Holocaust Survivors. My mother’s brief memoirs are housed at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. I have been trying to hear music for MY RED BOOTS for decades. During the events of October 7, 2023 in Israel, "Babies were taken from their mother's arms" just as in my mother's poem. Those with a conscience in the world must keep this evil from "happening again, and again, and again!" MY RED BOOTS My red boots and ruby earrings were s...    less

Since the beginning, Rev. Lee Chong Min – a reverend as well as a professor of the School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College – has been appointed to be the Choir master of the Chamber Choir. In 1997, the Choir name was changed to Jakarta Festival Chorus in order to reach out more participants from evangelical churches in Jakarta. Jakarta Festival Chorus is currently under the Music Department of the Communion of Chinese Churches in Indonesia (PGTI). The members now are choristers and sacred music lovers from different churches in Jakarta. For these past ten years, JFC has dedicated itself to regularly perform some great classical works from the famous composers, such as, The Messiah – Handel (2000), The Creation – Haydn (2003), Elijah – F.
