It was founded in 1998 in response to the success of the Choral Meeting of Alexandria Municipality and mainly because of the Alexandrians who love the choral music and the encouragement of the Board Members of the Choir at the time. Like Melissanthi, Alexandrian Voices is, in the wider area of Alexandria, the music institution that target to the development of choral music, of course through the good company and the love for music itself. From the beginning it counts approximately 50 choristers, all amateurs (meaning that none has studied music) who love and sing almost all kinds of music. Since their beginning, Alexandrian Voices had the opportunity to participate and be distinguished in numerous events, competitions or not, musical or of special interest. Based on the International Choir Classification, Alexandrian Voices are ranked into the 1000 best choirs in the world for both 2011 and 2012. Please read more: less

The word 'vacilando' is Spanish, and refers to taking enjoyment out of the journey rather than focusing on the destination. As such, the choir will take a more casual approach to music-making, with fewer performances throughout the season than Òran, our young adult choir. The group will still place an emphasis on all the things that make Kokopelli's music-making unique, however: community, multiculturalism, choral excellence, and multifaceted performances.  less

They take their name after Bruce Springsteen’s album The Seeger Sessions, since their first concert took place at a lecture on American Folk Music when Springsteen was touring Italy in 2006. In 2011 they published their first CD, Songs of Freedom, a collection of protest songs with a strong connection to the Civil Rights Movement. In 2015 TSV published their first original single, “Graces (Dropping Again)” written by ZogaroS. In 2017 TSV will release a concept album of 16 songs and vocal interludes composed and produced by all the girls. “Broken Dream”, written by Chiara Cortez and Emanuele Jorma Gasperi, is the first single published to launch the record.  less

Cunninghame Choir is an amateur choir based at Beith Community Centre, N. Ayrshire. We perform 2 concerts a year and cover a wide range of choral genres.

We are a music group from Tembisa, in Gauteng. The group was founded in 2020 and it hosted it first event in October 2020. We released our first single track with Umlazi Levites Choir on 26 March 2021. We are available on all major social media platforms.

Goal of ...  moreThe Youth Choir Melissanthi was founded as the Children’s Choir of Alexandria Municipality in 1987 aiming to the creation of a youth musical cradle in the town and so far has become a major attraction for children and young people of the city. Goal of the choir is equally the choral and music development of its members and the contribution to the cultural development of Alexandria and the surrounding area. Although it started as a small Ensemble singing monophonic or at best diphone melodies without instrumental accompaniment, today has more than 80 choristers, mostly girls, 10-25 years old, and interprets as a triphonic choir almost all kinds of music, with an emphasis on the music of the nations and Greek composers.
