During the choir’s existence, it has taken par...  moreFounded in June 1977, the present Whitehaven Male Voice Choir has established an enviable reputation among the musical world of male voices in Britain, along with appearances on local radio and television. During the choir’s existence, it has taken part in many musical festivals, and proven its quality by winning many first prizes, and has been joined in concert by world renowned soloists and choirs from Britain and America. Every year, the choir perform around twenty concerts throughout Cumbria, raising thousands of pounds for charitable organisations and other worthy causes. The services of the choir are provided entirely free of charge to the organisations they perform for. Outside the county they have performed in such notable venues as The Royal Albert Hall, London; on three occasions, Cardiff Arms Park; twice, Sheffield Arena and in Edinburgh. Atlantic voices is an amateur choir starting its tenth season with a repertoire consisting mainly of Newfoundland, Maritime, and Celtic songs and music. The goals of the choir are: to represent and showcase Newfoundland and Maritime music and culture in the Ottawa area; to provide its members with the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform choral compositions; and to offer free of charge, musical entertainment to residents of retirement homes, hospitals etc., via in situ community concerts. Members of Atlantic voices include singers from the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Ontario. Singers and musicians of all backgrounds are invited to join us and explore songs and music from both sides of the Atlantic.  less

We are actively recruiting n...  moreHarmony Federation is a national men's barbershop and a-capella chorus, with members from all parts of Ireland. Our director is Linda Corcoran who also directs the current UK Champions ‘ The Great Western Chorus of Bristol’. We are actively recruiting new members and have ambitions for national and international performance. Almost all of our members are also in other choirs and 'the Feds' rehearse together only once per month on average, so it is possible to stay with your current choir and with us.
