Directed for more than ten years by Michael Bawtree, its repertoire spans The Renaissance to The present day and has included The Scottish premieres of works by James Whitbourn, Hans Gál, Jan Dismas Zelenka, Richard Bush and Judith Bingham.
The Choir performs regularly in Glasgow and central Scotland, and has toured to France, Holland and Sweden, where it has formed links with oTher Choirs.
Recent BBC radio engagements have included William Walton’s Henry V Suite with The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Sunday Worship live and Bryan Burnett’s ‘Get it On’ show live on BBC Radio Scotland. The Choir features regularly in Raymond Gubbay’s Christmas Festival in The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. less

In October 2012, The Choir was awarded The prestigious title of Choir of The Year 2012, a... moreLes Sirènes is a Glasgow-based female chamber Choir consisting of 26 vocalists, all students and graduates of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly RSAMD). In October 2012, The Choir was awarded The prestigious title of Choir of The Year 2012, after an extensive UK-wide search and a competitive Grand Final held at London's Royal Festival Hall. The ensemble was established in 2007 by present musical director Andrew Nunn and performs regularly across Scotland and beyond, having given Concerts in renowned venues such as Glasgow CaThedral, The SECC, Dunkeld CaThedral, Paisley Abbey, The Mackintosh Church, The Queen's Hall, The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and London’s Cadogan Hall. The Choir has also performed in more obscure locations, having “sung on The subway” as part of The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) promotion of The Glasgow underground.
