A joyous exclamation which is set at a wedding, where the groom is being asked: "Where are you hiding the bride". Traditional Sesotho South African traditional music is known for their movement and dancing in their songs, and the UP Youth Choir accentuates this by highlighting the movement in their performance.  

The ensemble currently consists of 40-50 auditioned singers. The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University. He has served on the music faculty at ECU since 1983.  less

St. Colman's Cathedral Chamber Choir is a long-established Choir from the harbour town of Cobh in the Republic of Ireland. The Choir performs every Sunday evening in the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Colman's, a majestic building situated on a hill in ...  moreSt. Colman's Cathedral Chamber Choir is a long-established Choir from the harbour town of Cobh in the Republic of Ireland. The Choir performs every Sunday evening in the Roman Catholic cathedral of St. Colman's, a majestic building situated on a hill in the town famed for being the last port of call for the Titanic. The membership of the Choir has grown considerably in the last five years and it now boasts more than 30 voices. The Choir is a previous winner at the world famous Cork Choral Festival and has travelled to Vienna, London and Italy to perform at various events. In 2009 the Choir was honored to be asked to sing in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City for the Sunday liturgy. That same year they also performed at Westminster Cathedral. They have been asked back to St. Peter's in July 2013 to perform again. The Choir is made up of undergraduate and graduate students auditioned from all facult...  moreThe Choir is a group of talented students who enjoy making music together. it allows you to make lifelong friendships and contacts, and build crucial teamwork skills. The Choir is made up of undergraduate and graduate students auditioned from all faculties and grades and performs several concerts every year, and at important University ceremonies. Participation always begins in the Fall semester, and continues all the way to graduation commencement in June. The Choir performed in joint concerts with Choirs from Duke University, Yale University, Harvard University, Perugia University and Missouri Drury University.  less
