The Choir was found in April 1994 and called after the central street of Kiev. The Choir acquired the status of ‘municipal’ in 1999, and has been financed by the Kievan Mayor’s Office since then. In December 2009, the Ensemble became ‘academic’. From February 2011 the official name “Khreschatyk” Academic Chamber Choir. Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine Larisa Bukhonskaya was the Choir founder and its Artistic Director until 2007. Since August 2007, after winning a representative contest, Pavel Struts, previously a long-standing Coryphaeus, became the Choir’s Artistic Director. The honorary title of Distinguished Artist of Ukraine was awarded to Pavel Struts in December 2009.  less

CHC, as often called by parishioners was the officia...  more“Koro de San Jose”, Formerly known as “Celina Homes Choir” was founded in the year 2000 by its first director, Ms. Gloria Tabucanon; an Education graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman. CHC, as often called by parishioners was the official choral group of the Ugnayan St. Joseph the Worker from the Mother of the Redeemer Parish in Deparo Caloocan City. In 2002, Mr. Victor Ventus became the new leader of the group; and under his supervision the Choir was considered one of the finest in the Parish. CHC was composed of mixed voices back then; but like any other group, members do come and go. In 2005, most its female members left to study and work. 2006 came and CHC was officially announced and named after its patron saint as Koro de San Jose, the first and only All-Male Choir in the Parishes’ history. In 2007, Mark Westvent Abesia started assisting Victor Ventus in teaching the members Vocal parts and harmony. The Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's Choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. ...  moreThe Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by Musical Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's Choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. The Choir was such a success and those involved enjoyed it so much that it was decided to continue. The Choir is a training Choir with the children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12. The Harmonic Minors is the Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned Choir for older children and teens.  less
