Papandopulo composed "Pozdrav Zori dalmatinskoj" on August 1st 1976 in Opatija (Croatia). Written in 1844 by Ana Vrdoljak, a poetess from Imostski (Croatia), the lyrics of this song date back to the times of Illyrian movement, celebrating the launching of the magazine "Zora dalmatinska", a literary and educational weekly issued in Zadar, thus being the first Croatian literary magazine to be issued outside Zagreb (from 1844 to 1849). The song was published on the cover of the No. 44 of the magazine, issued on October 28th 1844.  less

We are a non-audition Choir, open to all. We rehearse at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. We rehearse at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. We aim to unite and represent our community through our joy of singing. The Choir has over sixty singers rehearsing each week and the main focus in rehearsals is preparation for performances. These performances can take the form of concerts and appearances in Festivals and other events in the local community.
