Party in the U.S.A Arr. Deke Sharon Spring Concert 2018 Johansen High School This performance was inspired by our Choir tour 2018 to Newport Beach where we had a fabulous workshop with Deke Sharon at the Choirs of America Festival.

Allegra and Ensemble perform a tribute to Music with a medley of "Harmonia Mundi", a German hymn tune and "O Music" by Lowell Mason.

It was first created by a few friends in 1991, then enlarged over the years. It has been conducted by Stephan Nicolay since 2004. The Choir aims to share quality Music and new experiences with the audience. That is why La Sestina often performs with crossover arts on a main theme e.g. French Renaissance chansons in 16th century clothes with an actress, a cappella sacred contemporary Music with dancers and video projection, Baroque French Music with chamber orchestra and a lecturer, medieval Spanish Music with mediterranean ensemble of lutes and percussions, etc. Also, the Choir aims at supporting humanitarian and social actions by offering one or several concerts each year. Many international NGO have benefited from these charity concerts such as Unicef, Unesco, Amnesty International, Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières and so on, but also very local Associations.
