The members ever since have been using the group as a place to express their love of singing and to present high quality choir performances.

Its name, consisting of the words Poly (Polyphonic) and Rock, means "Polyphonic Rock Chorus", that is, "Polyphonic Rock Chorus". As a Corporate Motivation product, Tolga Gülen has been working with companies on Polipop since 2011. Deciding to offer Polipop outside of corporate participation, it was implemented within the body of "Kadıköy Municipality Volunteer Counseling and Training Center". PoliRock, together with Polipop, became Turkey's second modular Chorus project. There is no notation and exam system in PoliRock. Tolga Gülen has been using his own song learning technique that he developed during his work with corporate companies for years. PoliRock is open to the participation of anyone who wants to sing. Having been friends and in the choral scene for twenty years, the two have been talking about a project like this for around fifteen years. Spurred by the release of the revised English missal, Alejandro and Eugene both thought it a good time to finally restart the project that they had shelved for some time. Only now, the idea wasn’t just to end with a single album; the idea was now to establish a ministry that would introduce a new generation of music to Philippine Catholics. The new ministry would have as its aim the creation of beautiful music to help the faithful to a more prayerful, solemn state of mind.
