Sweet Adelines International LogoWe are a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women Singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop four-part harmony. While our chorus offers educational opportunities to its members, we also serve the community through shows and other events throughout the Pittsburgh area.

It specializes in choral and early music—notably Renaissance, Baroque, and rarely heard repertoire—and is dedicated to delivering emotionally resonant, historically informed performances. Winner of the Chorus America/ASCAP Alice Parker Award, Crescendo invites choral Singers to audition for its 22nd season.This season, our repertoire spans 16th-century motets, works by Johann Sebastian Bach, and contemporary music in the Piazzolla style, featuring the U.S. premiere of Martín Palmeri’s A Jewish Cantata (2022). Our rehearsals take place on Monday evenings starting in September at Trinity Lime Rock Lakeville, Connecticut.  less

Primarily a for-hire performance ensemble, this group offers its members the chance to develop their skills at a professional level. Many alumni continue on to pursue careers in music performance. This is the flagship ensemble of Canada's National Arts Network, ArtsConnex.
