Coaching and conducting is provided by Bishop Grosseteste University College Community Music Development Co-ordinator Annie Walker. The emphases for members of Vocal Authority is very firmly on having fun - whether they are singing Latin rounds or modern chart hits, they aim to do it with a big smile on their faces!  

We were originally founded as a workplace choir for K Shoes (taken over by Clarks) of Kendal, Cumbria in 1969. We have around fifty members and support local and national charities. We are a very friendly choir and welcome new members.

The Songmen sing Guy Lewis's arrangement of Mr. Bojangles in the Concert Hall at the Musikhochschule as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Musick Festival on 3rd August 2011.

The Connecticut Choral Society, under the direction of Maestro Eric Dale Knapp, was recently named as one of the top five choral ensembles in the state. The 75-member auditioned chorus has appeared at Carnegie Hall and has toured in Eastern Europe, Canada...  ink" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreThe Connecticut Choral Society, under the direction of Maestro Eric Dale Knapp, was recently named as one of the top five choral ensembles in the state. Experienced singers are welcome to audition and join in the months of September and January.
