Initially, the singers performed mainly in their Home town and neighbouring areas, actively accumulating experience for their first serious contest, the Latvian National Contest for Vocal Ensembles, in 1999. Success amongst the tough competition in the category of female ensembles encouraged the singers to participate in international contests, resulting only in awards. Success increases the joy of singing and in order to spread positive emotions to a greater number of vocal music admirers, Anima Solla began concert trips to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Lithuania and Australia. Our repertoire Ranges from the traditional to the contemporary, from sacred to 'songs from the shows', from Wagner to Rod Stewart. We maintain a good balance of concert and social activities. We practice every Tuesday night from 7.45pm to 9.30pm at Stithians Methodist Chapel. With around 60 members, ranging from 14 years of age upwards. the Rodiilians perform a diverse Range of musical styles that are innovative and challenging, having the capacity to move the audience.their vision and love of music has seen them move from strength to strength and they have been extremely successful in recent years and the future holds much excitement for the choir.

Under the leadership of Celia Leung, the group strives to add more musical colour to the city. Sing City was seen singing for charity and community events, and also at their own Christmas and Summer performances. the group participated in the Karuizawa International Choral Festival in August 2018.

In 1560 the school was re-founded by Queen Elizabeth I for boys to be “liberally instructed in good books to the greater honour of the state.” Ever since, the school’s history has been intertwined with the momentous state events and political turmoils of the capital.
