The Barnes choir, originally known as the Barnes Music Club Choir, was established in 1953/4. A friendly and sociable choir, we number some70 Singers drawn mostly from the Barnes, Sheen and Richmond areas. We perform mainly, but not exclusively, classic...  moreThe Barnes choir, originally known as the Barnes Music Club Choir, was established in 1953/4. A friendly and sociable choir, we number some70 Singers drawn mostly from the Barnes, Sheen and Richmond areas. We perform mainly, but not exclusively, classical choral works, including those of local composers such as Howard Goodall and Gustav Holst, and we occasionally commission new works, most recently from Russell Hepplewhite. We perform three concerts each season at local venues and we also sing at local charitable events at Christmas, and at summer fêtes, and we raise funds for local cancer support charity The Mulberry Centre at our Christmas Carol concert. We offer an open Come and Sing day each season and arrange overseas singing tours, our most recent being a trip to Lisbon last autumn.  less

Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing...  moreThe Outer Banks Chorus is a group of 80+ Singers dedicated to bringing excellent choral music of all kinds to Dare County, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gather together to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in the Fall and a Spring concert), there are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in the spring of 2011, the group performed at the Wright Brothers Monument for the Centennial of the Wright Brothers Glider Flight. The repertoire of the Outer Banks Chorus ranges from the Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently the chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers. All are invited to hear the chorus sing exceptionally lovely and wonderful choral music.  less

The choir draws on talented and experienced Singers to perform a varied repertoire of both well-loved and lesser known works, and also recording commercial works, particularly for the film industry. We perform extensively around the capital, across the UK and internationally. Our President is Sarah Walker CBE.

Sin...  moreWhen Fred Reinagel founded The Vail Chorale in 2011, his goal was simple: to create a non-auditioned community chorus that would provide an opportunity for choral music-making on Tucson’s East side, welcoming Singers of all ages and musical skills. Since its inception, The Vail Chorale has been entertaining local audiences with Fall and Spring concerts that feature musical styles for every taste. Performances have taken place at various locations including Empire and Cienega High Schools, the Arizona Senior Academy, and the Del Webb Lodge at Rancho del Lago. Chorale members have included high school students as well as adults of all ages, who have found that the intergenerational experience has added to the fun of singing together. Concert attendees have remarked at the obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm that comes across to the audience. The Vail Chorale is directed by Fred Reinagel, the Chorale’s founder.
