Our repertoire includes a wide spectrum of Choral works, and commissioned works by distinguished Hong Kong composers, including Dr. Chan Hing Yan, Dr. Victor Chan, Dr. Daniel Law, Mr. Law Wing Fai, Dr. Phoebus Lee, Mr. Michael Mak and Dr. Richard Tsang. The Chorus regularly holds annual large-scale concerts with its official orchestral partner, The Learners Orchestra, in addition to its other yearly Choral concerts of a smaller scale. Major Choral works presented and performed in recent years include Bach’s Magnificat, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, Lully’s Te Deum, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” and Symphony No. 8 “Symphony of a Thousand”, Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang, Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor and Requiem, Pärt’s Credo, Prauliņš’ Missa Rigensis, Poulenc’s Gloria, Rachmaninoff’s The Bells, Rossini’s Messa di Gloria and Stabat Mater, Rutter’s Mass of the Childre...    less

The World Youth Choir session 2012 was held in Cyprus from August 7th to September 1st, 2012 thanks to the cooperation between the Foundation World Youth Choir and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation - Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, supported by the Ministry of culture and education - Cyprus presidency of the European Union (cultural events in 2012). We sing repertoire in the styles Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Pop and focus during weekly lessons on blend, enthousiasm, musicality & empowerment of singers through excercises on all the aspects of singing and singing in a Vocal Group. We are 2 young ensembles, but we aim towards performing and giving concerts. We are still looking for new singers, also men!  less
