Since then, we've been growing in quality, number of Singers, range of repertory, and we've won two national awards in Spain in choir contests. We like to touch the audience with our style. We aim for high standards, and of course strong Singers are always valued – but you don’t have to be able to read m...  moreFHCS was formed in 1951 and has grown into an ambitious 100-strong choir. Membership is open to anyone with or without choral experience. We aim for high standards, and of course strong Singers are always valued – but you don’t have to be able to read music, and there are no auditions. The age range of members stem from 20 to over 70 so there is room for everyone. If you’re not sure which voice part you are then Christopher Wray, our Musical Director, can help you with this. The Choir performs three public concerts each year, at Easter, in the Summer and at Christmas. We also support the local communities by singing at various events and this includes raising funds for charities. Each year we also sing away from London which combines singing to another community, or combining a performance with their choir, with a fun day out. The voices of young Singers are celebrated and nurtured through a musicianship and vocal training program that includes reading and writing rhythms, interval recognition, diction, tone and vowel formation in a positive and fun choral setting. Serving ages 5–14, the program fosters the pride of accomplishment and joy of participation, producing the next generation of musicians, Singers, and music lovers in the community.  less

We're a group of about 20 men & women, and sing in 3 or 4 (or more) part harmony. Quorum love to raise money for local causes - covering all sorts of charities, in all sorts of venues. Quorum Singers of St Albans has been singing for over 25 years, and perform around 3 times a year in St Albans or locally in Hertfordshire. We rehearse once a week on Wednesdays, throughout the term time, and can often be found performing in Christopher Place around Christmas time!  less

Founded in February 2008 in order to bring polished intimate and historical choral music to local communities, VAE regularly performs in Northern CA and has toured abroad in Ireland. Richly themed programs celebrate the elegant beauty of Renaissance motets, tonal color of modern works, and exotic flavor of music from other cultures. VAE relies exclusively on donations at concerts to defray costs. Singers volunteer their time and talents but are not required to pay dues.  less
